Office BIO
The Brunswick-Jefferson Medical Practice began in August 1974, when Dr. Wayne Allgaier opened a storefront office on West Potomac Street in Brunswick. After four years as a solo practitioner, he was joined by Dr. Leonard Kinland, and together they cared for patients both in the office and at the hospital.
As the practice expanded, additional space became necessary. Through the efforts of dedicated local residents, including Joanne Runkles, the Brunswick Medical Center was built and opened in 1981. In 1985, Dr. Kathleen Stern joined the practice. With Dr. Talbot Brice nearing retirement after more than 50 years of service to the Jefferson community, the practice opened a second office in Jefferson in 1987. Dr. Judith Henry also joined that year and remained with the practice until her passing in 2000. In 1997, the Brunswick-Jefferson group partnered with two other established Frederick County practices to form Frederick Primary Care Associates (FPCA).
Today, the practice’s dedicated providers include Dr. Joseph Asuncion; Jenni Dorsey, PA; Judy Cao, PA; Jessica Vossler, PA; Steffanie McCombs, CRNP; and Heather Jones, CRNP. The team provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
The Brunswick-Jefferson group is supported by a professional medical staff managed by Office Manager Hollace Hopkins.
