Pediatrics is a branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The age range for pediatric patients is generally birth to 18-21 years old. Pediatricians provide medical care for ill children, but also provide preventive care for healthy patients and manage the physical, mental, and emotional well being of babies, children, and teenagers.
