We have learned that letters have been sent by various insurers (CareFirst, United Healthcare, Cigna, and possibly others) that have caused confusion about our participation with their provider networks. The letters discuss FPCA’s change in Provider Identification Number, and wording in the letters seem to imply that we are no longer participating with their plan(s). Please be assured that FPCA continues to participate with all of these insurance plans and there was never a gap in our relationship with any of these insurance companies. Frederick County high schools require student athletes to have a yearly sports physical between April 1st and the first day of the sports season.
Though a native of North Carolina, Dr. Lowery should be quite a recognizable person within Frederick County given that he has provided care in the area for the past five years. In joining our Urbana office, Dr. Lowery will remain broadly accessible to our area communities. Dr. Lowery is a graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Professionally, he has particular interests in preventative care, thyroid disorders and diabetes management.
